Join us for our new annual fundraiser Olds College Homestead Feast.

This new, one of a kind event will feature a field to fork dining experience showcasing locally produced food and entertainment. Together we will celebrate Olds College students, alumni, partners and friends. For over 100 years, Olds College has provided hands-on education and applied research to Albertans. That's five generations of prairie pride, grit and ingenuity working together to create a strong and vital agriculture industry.

Thank you to our event supporters for their commitment to Olds College and the agriculture industry. Through funds raised at this event, we can continue to provide a world class learning environment for our students.

The Cause

This year’s event will support the creation of the Animal Health Education Centre at Olds College. A new purpose built facility that will support the development of a world class animal health education program. We will create a learning environment that celebrates leading edge student-centred learning practices, with a focus on animal welfare, applied research and utilizing state of the art technology.

The new Centre will promote and enable animal care and welfare, low stress handling requirements and future expansion of animal health programming at Olds College.

Olds College Homestead Feast Host: Genevieve Annand

Genevieve Annand

Equine Science student Genevieve Annand is outgoing, enthusiastic, and an experienced and gifted public speaker with a background in theatre, and a long list of successes in sports and 4-H, including the Provincial Senior Public Speaking Presentations Championship.  Rural Alberta raised, Genevieve has brought her passion for community building to Olds College where she sits as Animal Science Representative on the Students’ Association Board of Directors.

“I am excited about the opportunity to represent the students at this years Homestead Feast, so I can show my appreciation to those who have dedicated so much to this college and have made it possible for someone like me to become even more involved in the agriculture community.”

Olds College Homestead Feast Host: Delanie Knull

Delanie Knull

Delanie Knull is a first year Agriculture Management diploma student, with a major in Marketing. Growing up on a ranch east of Crossfield, Delanie is heavily involved in the family cattle operation, where they raise a mixed herd of purebred Hereford, Angus, and commercial cattle. When not on the farm, Delanie takes the farm with her as she competes in jackpot cattle shows, participates in 4-H, and displays her passion for photography.

“My passion is in community involvement. I want to help make things better for my family, friends, and neighbours. That is why I have been in 4-H for so long, it is why I am a resident assistant for my fellow Olds College students, and it is why I am working towards a career in Agriculture."


Homestead Feast will feature a variety of central Alberta’s best country and folk musicians. We are excited to bring to our guests talented local artists, to help showcase that our region provides top notch entertainment to go along with our world class food producers and chef’s. Homestead Feast is truly focused on showcasing the best of central Alberta, in every facet.

Brianna Lizotte

Brianna LozitteA versatile and talented musician, Brianna plays multiple instruments and truly showcases her love for music with every performance.  The 17 year old Sylvan Lake resident has been sharing her love of music across Alberta as a fiddle player and as a member of the Red Deer Royals Marching Show Band. In May, 2016, Brianna was presented with the Rising Star Award by the Alberta Men and Women of Country Music. In the spring of 2018 she will be releasing her first fiddle album, titled Scratch ‘Em!

Honey and Pearls

Honey and PearlsA female vocal duo from Didsbury, Honey and Pearls have been found performing at festivals and music venues across southern and central Alberta for nearly three years. Highlighting the authentic sound of the ukulele, the duo performs top hits in folk, country, rock and pop, as well as their own original compositions.

Dustin Farr

Dustin FarrDustin’s love for music goes back to an early age where campfire pickin’ and family jams, and musical influences that span multiple genres and generations began to influence his creativity and musical taste.  With musical roots and deep ties to rural Alberta, Dustin’s music conveys emotion and passion that you can truly feel when you hear him perform his original work.

Dustin’s music features a homegrown country sound with lyrics that speak to his values of home, family, friends and a desire to make meaningful music. With vocal strength and tone blended with emotional themes, Dustin’s music will speak to your soul. In addition to being a musician with over 20 years of experience, Dustin’s rural Alberta roots also come in handy as an instructor in the Olds College Agricultural Management program.

Nolan Ray

Nolan RayOlds resident Nolan Ray is a guitarist, singer and songwriter who has developed a career as a guitar teacher and performer. Nolan’s versatility is impressive, he performs as a solo artist, and also in duos,trios and bands.

Nolan is known in the Olds area for performing classical instrumental guitar for various business functions, and singing with guitar in hand for local events and artists. He is well versed in different styles of music, taking elements of jazz, blues, country, pop and classical style in his performances. Whether he is performing classic hits or originals, Nolan strives for a professional, seasoned and soulful level in his performance.
