Capital Vision Campaign

Capital Vision CampaignThere has never been a more exciting time of growth at Olds College than the present!

In June 2005, Olds College launched the 2009 Capital Vision Campaign to ensure we continue to prosper and our learners continue to be successful in the ever changing marketplace.

Olds College has identified a number of initiatives that form the foundation of a multi-million dollar project-based capital campaign.

The projects will:

  • Create Centres of Specialization in agriculture, horticulture, and land-based education and applied research at the college level
  • Increase Access to the College’s learning opportunities
  • Enhance Responsiveness to the opportunities and demands of industry, government and technology
  • Improve Affordability of educational programs and services being offered
  • Ensure Accountability and fiscal responsibility while achieving excellence in educational outcomes

These are the campaign projects that will contribute to the future of Olds College:

CLC - Community Learning Campus

Unique in Canada, the CLC is an innovative approach to high school, post-secondary, and community education, and assists in advancing government rural development strategies. The principle partners in this initiative are Olds College and Chinook’s Edge School Division.

CECI - Canadian Equine Centre of Innovation

Olds College will develop the Canadian Equine Centre of InnovationTM to increase capacity to train individuals at certificate and diploma levels in equine and equine related areas.

CHI - Centre for the Horticulture Industry

Olds College is establishing the Centre for the Horticulture Industry to meet student and industry demands and to position horticulture programming at Olds College at the national-class level.

Olds College Calgary Campus

Olds College, partnered with the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede welcomed its first students to the new satellite campus on August 28, 2006 located at Stampede Park in the heart of Canada’s fourth largest city. The Olds College Calgary Campus officially opened at a special ceremony on October 3, 2006.

Endowed Industry Chairs

Endowed Chairs are created through philanthropic gifts to attract and retain exceptional faculty to provide a linkage to the business and industry associated with national class programs. As acknowledged leaders in their respective field, the Chairs will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of Olds College and its partnerships with industry.
