Goals
The College's primary goal is to enhance our position as a major Centre of Specialization in Agricultural Education.
Olds College has secured its position in the agricultural community in Alberta, Canada, and the rest of the world. It has done this by demonstrating that it has the capability to provide practical, efficient and effective agricultural training in even the most challenging areas of the world.
Olds College has the expertise and the materials to assist countries in both the development and delivery of
- livestock
- forage and pasture
- grazing
- crop production
- and crop management.
Strengths
Olds College's strengths are in
- hands-on applied training methodologies
- and processes that are used to develop training.
Our basic strength is a solid up-front needs assessment process to determine exactly what training is required, by whom, and then to develop a strategy and methodology with the client that suits the situation.
Olds College is recognized in many parts of the world as a leader in Agriculture Education and Training, in part because
- over forty staff members at Olds College have International overseas experience in projects.
- many College staff come from a farming background or are actively involved in farming.
