LCD projector, VCR/DVD player, and Sound Setup
The following areas have extra sound and VCR setups to the LCD projector:
- In DMP 215
- In JMB 301, 305, 322, 327
- In LSC 1027
The default setup in to have the computer connected to the LCD projector and external speakers.
Changing to the VCR/DVD player
- Turn on the LCD projector
- Use the Input button (some machines it is called Select, or Video) on the LCD projector remote to change to video mode
- You maybe presented with a menu or need to press the button several times to cycle through the various choices
- Turn on the VCR/DVD player
- Some VCR/DVD players may need to have a VHS tape in and playing before it sends a video signal out
- Move the green sound plug from the computer to the VCR/DVD plug

- Power and Volume controls will be on one of the small speakers
- Remember to turn everything off when done
Connecting a laptop to the LCD projector
- Turn on the LCD projector
- Use the Input button (some machines it is called Select, or Video) on the LCD projector remote to change to video mode
- You maybe presented with a menu or need to press the button several times to cycle through the various choices
- Connect laptop to Video input on the video splitter box

Signal Splitter
- Turn on the laptop
- Some laptops will now connect to the LCD projector if one is connected to it and turned on. Please note that this process can take several minutes to happen.
If no image appears on the screen
- Use the Input button (some machines it is called Select, or computer) on the LCD projector remote to change to computer mode
- You maybe presented with a menu or need to press the button several times to cycle through the various choices
- On the laptop use the FN key (blue lettering located in the lower left hand corner of the keyboard) and one of the function keys, usually F5 or F8. The function key may have an image of two screens, or CRT/LCD written on it. You may need to press the FN + function key combination several times. There usually is a short delay so wait a few seconds before press the two keys again.
- Move the green sound plug from the computer to the VCR/DVD plug

- Connect computer to Video input on the video splitter box
