Connecting an APPLE Computer to your Olds College network drives
These instructions are being offered to help staff and students connect their APPLE computers to the Olds College Network. Information Technology is in no way responsible for how well these instructions work or an offer to extend extensive computer support to Apple computer users.

- Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
- Choose Connect to Server from the Go menu
- In the address field of the Connect to Server dialog, type the URL using this syntax
smb://olfsrv3.win.olds/staff/first initial+lastname
smb://olfsrv.win.olds/student/id number
- Click Connect.
You will be prompted for the workgroup, user name, and password. In addition to connecting to actual Microsoft Windows computers, you may also use the Connect to Server dialog to connect to a Macintosh that is offering Windows File Sharing.
