Changing Your Computer Password
Note: your username and password is the same for your computer and webmail access. Changing one will cause the change to effect the other.
- On a Windows XP Pro desktop, press Ctrl+Alt+Del.
- In the Windows Security screen, click Change Password.
- In the User name box, enter your username.
- In the Old Password box, enter your old password.
- In the New Password box, enter your new password. Use the following criteria to create a secure password:
- Passwords should not contain your name or username.
- Passwords should include some or all of the following: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, special characters (!, @, #, $, etc.).
- In the Confirm Password box, enter your new password again, and then click OK.
Changing Your My Olds College Password
- to reset your password you can the online access at: My Olds College
OR - bring your Student ID card to the Library or Information Technology to be reset there
Changing Your Library (NEOS) Password
- go to the NEOS search page
- click on the My Account link at the top of the web page
- enter your User ID (Library) number (see Library staff if you do not know what it is)
- enter your PIN number (see Library staff if you do not know what it is)
- click on change PIN link at the top of the web page
- check that the User ID and PIN number
- enter your new PIN
- re-enter your new PIN
- REMEMBER to Logout when done
Changing Your Webmail Password
Note: your username and password is the same for your computer and webmail access. Changing one will cause the change to effect the other.
Login to webmail is the same as your login for the computer. The web address is:
- webmail.oldscollege.ca
- click on "options" button located at the upper right hand corner
- click on "Change Password" from left hand menu
- enter old password
- enter new password (should include letters but not any special characters)
- re-enter password
- click on "Save" button located above password inputs
- login to activate the new password
