Using the Sympodium
Keys for the doors to the sympodium can be gotten from:

Starting the Sympodium
- Turn on computer and login
- Turn on LCD projector
- If no image appears or is wrong image, press one of the output control source buttons on the Sympodium

USB / Elmo projector / Laptop / Computer
- For the video/DVD player you need to change the LCD output from computer to video.
Using the Sympodium’s colored pens.
On the monitor are a series of buttons.
Mouse pointer / black pen / blue pen / red pen / eraser
Drawing
- To draw/write you need to select one pen color
- With the tethered pen you can now write/draw on the monitor screen
Erasing
- press the eraser button
- With the tethered pen move the circle over what you would like to erase.
- To erase a large area draw a circle around the area to be erased and then tap once with the tethered pen inside the circle.
Using the Pen as a Mouse
- To get the mouse pointer back you need to press the pointer button on the monitor. Now the tethered pen can be used like the mouse.
Saving your notes
- From the monitor press the button with the camera image

This will bring up a small picture menu with four choices (from left to right):
- Capture a selected rectangular area
- Capture a selected active window/frame area
- Capture a full screen area
- Capture an irregular area
Once the area type is selected the Sympodium will save the selection to the Smart Notebook.
