How to Use the HP Scanner

Select the HP Solutions Center icon on the desktop to start the scanning wizard.

Select Scan Picture or Scan Document – this will bring up the dialog screen shown below.

Select the Document button to scan a document into an editable text file.

Select the Picture button to scan a picture into an image file.

Select Scan to continue to the next screen.

The defaults are good enough for most applications.

Change type of image file here.

Change filename here.

Change where your files will be saved to here.

Select OK to continue to the next screen.

Change scan area:
Left click and drag any of of the black handles. The dotted area will be scanned and saved.

Use the New Scan button to start a new scan.

Use the Accept button to scan and save the image to your H:/ drive.
