Landscape Gardener Apprenticeship

This dynamic program offers an abundance of hands-on learning technologies in both the hard landscape skills of pavers, water gardens, wood construction, irrigation and surveying; balanced with the soft landscape skills of plant identification, tree planting, soil analysis, plant production and landscape design. As a Journeyman Landscape Gardener, you are in high demand within industry employment.

The apprenticeship programs at Olds College are under the administration of Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.  Prospective apprentices are encouraged to visit the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Web site at www.tradesecrets.alberta.ca

How to Apply for Apprenticeship Programs

  1. Apply to become a registered apprentice by completing the Apprenticeship Application and ContractOnce complete, submit it to the nearest Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) office.
  2. Once you become an Apprentice, you may apply for training.  Choose an available class from the Apprenticeship Training Schedule
  3. To register for training, you must complete the Enrolment Form.  You will need your AIT ID number, your contact information, as well as the dates and Class Code for the Period of Training you are requesting from the Apprenticeship Training Schedule.
  4. Submit the completed Enrolment Form, along with a $300 deposit, to:
