The role of Superintendent demands broader skills than ever before. Distinguish yourself in this competitive field by earning an Applied Degree in Golf Course Management. This two year major includes one year of on-campus academic study and one year of Directed Field Study in the industry. You’ll learn in the classroom and on the job, giving you the hands-on training you’ll need to start your career in golf course management. Courses include Environmental Management for Golf Courses, Plant Environment Systems, Golf Course Master Planning, Ethics, Pest Management and more.
Graduates of the golf course management major have gone on to work in prominent roles as superintendents, irrigation technicians, golf course construction managers and supervisors.
