The Agricultural Finance Certificate Program is an on-line program that meets the training needs of individuals working in the agricultural finance industry. The emphasis on Agricultural Finance would benefit farmers, Ag Lenders and others that deal with various Agri business issues on a day to day basis.
- It is available to anyone interested in strengthening their general knowledge of agriculture.
- You can enroll on-line with the intent of taking one course, selected courses, or complete all the courses in the series. (Some courses have other industry professional development / continuing education credits attached to them as well.)
- Courses are primarily self-directed with some instructor facilitation.
- Each course is delivered over a 16 week period.
- Certain courses have a minimum enrollment requirement.
- Online registration is available through www.ecampusalberta.ca.
NOTE: A $25 fee for 24 hour technical support is also charged with each course.

- Farm Management - AGEC 210 3 credits
- Soil Investigations - SOIL 100 3 credits
- Livestock Survey - ANSC 123 3 credits
- Introductory Crop Identification - PLNT 110 3 credits
- Agricultural Marketing Introduction - AGEC 231 3 credits
- Advanced Farm Accounting - AGEC 245 ** 3 credits
- Farm Income Tax - AGEC 246 ** 3 credits
- Farm Finance - AGEC 220 ** 6 credits
- Commodity Risk Management - AGEC 333 4 credits
- Federal Farm Law - AGEC 211 2 credits
- Global Agricultural Issues - AGRI 200 3 credits
** Do not complete two of these courses concurrently.

Fees: $174.06 / credit (Example $522.18 for a 3 credit course) GST exempt
Plus $25 per course for 24 hour technical support (mandatory fee). Additional material fees may be applicable.
