Horse Hoof Care and Trimming

 

hoof careHorse owners know how important hoof care is. You also know it can be expensive and time consuming. This course will help save you time and money.

During this 2 1/2 day hands-on course, you will learn

  • the basics of hoof care,
  • how to treat minor hoof problems,
  • and when to call the farrier.

You can practice trimming in a supervised setting. Participants may bring their own horse on the last day.

You will require trimming tools. If you need to purchase these tools we have a quality tool kit available at the course (approx. $220.00). As you register tell the registration officer if you do not need the kit to ensure we have enough kits on hand.

Friday: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fee: $250 + GST
