Introduction to the horse is a basic course about the horse as an evolving mammal, and as a tool for man upon domestication. Basic equine identification, terminology, behaviors, external anatomy descriptions and horse breeds are examined. You work through the course material on the Moodle learning management platform. The course timetable will work around subject areas allowing you the student to take part in the discussion and assignments at a time that are most convenient to you.

Home schooled and disabled students that have a passion for the horse. This course is designed around CTS Career and Technology studies Courses AGR 2070, or Equine 1 Green Certificate equine students that are looking for specific knowlegde to help suceed in obtaining thier green certificate.
If you have been with those that are passionate about the horse -- it may seem they are talking another language. This course will get you up to speed and you will be able to take part in the discussion with confidence and understanding.
