Pet Sitting

Pet Sitting was virtually unheard of 20 years ago. But now, with our busy lifestyles and demanding work schedules, many people rely on pet sitters to help ensure that their furry friends are well taken care of.

This 2-day course provides the essentials to setting up your own pet sitting business. Taught by a Registered Animal Health Technologist, this course will focus on small animal care as well as canine and feline behaviour. In addition, find out how to manage home visits, learn how to work with people and their pets, and learn the basics of business management.

Topics to be covered include:

• Normal and Abnormal Behaviour in Animals
• Handling and Restraint of Selected Species
• Bandaging Procedures for Small Animals
• First Aid in Emergencies
• First Impressions with Clients
• How to Get Your Business Going
