Centennial Fund Raiser
To enhance the spinning and weaving classes, a fund-raising initiative has beenundertaken to purchase a class set of 10 spinning wheels and 10 looms in time for Fibre Week 2013, an Olds College Centennial Signature event.
The idea was proposed by the Beginner Weaving class of 2010 who declared that they could, in their own circles, each raise enough money for one of these items.
How can you get involved?
Encourage your local fibre enthusiasts, guilds, businesses and organizations to participate in this project and get their name on a wheel or loom! Garage Sales, Bake Sales, Pledge Drives, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination!
