Design Your Own Lace Patterns

Examine unique pattern stitches and learn how to chart our own custom lace patterns. Chart a basic diamond using yarn overs, examine several types of decreases and learn how each decrease works to create a different result. Accentuate lace patterns with an outline stitch, then design and chart several patterns and knit a swatch of each to see what works on the needles. Review basic patterns for lace projects such as scarves, stoles, and ponchos, and then work on designing a project. For intermediate to experienced lace knitters.
