Vegetable Crop Production

This course looks at soils, climate, equipment management and marketing of vegetable crops on the Canadian Prairies. You will learn about the common needs of various groups of crops ranging from pole crops to vine crops.

Completion of this course will provide you with a pool of knowledge from which to draw extensively:

  • in establishing a vegetable enterprise,
  • in managing an existing operation,
  • in performing various duties with another grower’s business
  • or in advising others on vegetable production.

Note: It is recommended that students complete Applied Botany and Soils for Horticulture before registering in Vegetable Crop Production.
