Fibre Week 2011 Weaving Workshops

 

MASTER WEAVER LEVEL 1

Studies will include the basic principles of weaving

This is NOT a Beginner course.  See the Learning to Weave course in the Fibre Arts section.

Prerequisite:  Students should have successfully warped the loom and woven off several warps, on a four shaft loom, and be familiar with basic weaving language and tools. Students are encouraged to bring their own loom and equipment.  Note:  classroom will be available in the evenings to weave samples during the week.

MASTER WEAVER LEVEL 2

These studies expand on knowledge and skill gained from working through the coursework and assignments of Level I.

Prerequisite:  Master Weaver Level 1

Students are encouraged to bring their own loom and equipment. Supplies List (same as Level I).  Note:  classroom will be available in the evenings to weave samples during the week.

Off Campus Master Weaver Course Offerings

 

Assignment Marking

Upon completion of the classroom assignments, contact the Olds College program coordinator to pay the current marking fee. Instructions will then be given for mailing to the instructor.

Fee: $120
(covers instructor marking time and return mailing costs)
