Call for Instructors for Fibre Week 2011
Fibre Week is an annual celebration of the fibre arts presented by Olds College in Olds, Alberta. It features workshops on all aspects of the fibre arts, the Master Spinners program, fleece shows, a fashion show, as well as social events emphasizing the importance of natural fibres and the natural fibre industry.
We are currently putting out a call for instructors to conduct fibre arts based workshops for the 2011 event.
Our workshop format features half-day, one, two, and three day workshops in spinning, knitting, dyeing, felting, weaving, quilting, embellishing, beading, and other creative methods of using natural fibres.
A Workshop Proposal Form (in MS Word format) is available for download and should be returned to Michelle Boyd (contact information included on the form). Note the submission deadline of July 31, 2010.
We thank everyone for their proposals but will only be contacting those instructors whose workshops will be included in the program. All other proposals will be kept on file for future consideration.
