Fun 'n Skills Camp: August 9-13, 2010
Morning Sessions (9am-Noon)
Carpentry Projects –Beginners (Ages 12+)
Use hand and power tools to build selected carpentry projects such as park benches, picnic tables or wall shelves. Materials fee dependent on project selected. Sturdy footwear (no sneakers) required. All other safety equipment supplied. $139
Digital Scrapbooking 1 (ages 8-12)
If you like scrapbooking or think you might, why not apply your creativity to a digital version? Learn to use the creative memories scrapbooking software to produce pages that can go into a scrapbook binder or become part of a calendar, book, or other printed memories. The software will be available for purchase from the instructor for $80 if you decide you’d like to continue your scrapbooking at home. Bring a CD or memory stick containing photos that you want to work with.
Horseback Riding for the very young! (ages 7 & 8)
Due to parental requests, we are adding a riding class for children ages 7 & 8. Training will take place at Mane Attraction Stables just 1 mile East & 3 miles South of Olds from 9am - Noon daily. Close supervision and expert instruction will ensure that your child will have an enjoyable experience. Students must wear a helmet (bike helmet ok) and boots with hard soles & heels (no sneakers). Alberta Health Care number required. Cost = $299 (Where else can you get riding instruction for less than $20/hour?). Class size is very small, so register early before it fills up.
Photography & Video Productions (Ages 10+)
Learn the basics of good photography and video. Edit your work and use it in a variety of projects. Bring a digital camera & USB connecting cord if possible. $139
Sew It Up 1 (Ages 6+)
Learn how to sew and create some fun beginner projects. Supply fee $12. Students will be given a list of materials to bring and you can view it here. Supplies List

Carpentry Projects – Intermediate (Ages 12+)
Had some experience with power tools and building projects in our classes before? Join this session to learn more skills and build more challenging projects. See Morning Sessions for details.
Digital Scrapbooking 2 (ages 13+)
Work on digital scrapbooking projects that interest teens. See the morning session for additional details.
Sew It Up 2 (Ages 12+)
Fun & useful sewing projects for those with some experience. Supply fee $12. Students will be given a list of materials to bring and you can view it here. Supplies List. $139
Lego Robotics (Ages 10+)
Indulge your scientific and creative interests! Build and program real-life robotic solutions using the Lego NXT materials and computer software. $139
