Olds College Food Services

The last thing you have to worry about at Olds College is where to eat. Our main cafeteria, Grisdale Market, as well as other kiosks around campus offer a huge selection of menu choices including:

  • A wide selection of breakfast items
  • A salad bar & sub/sandwich bar
  • Homemade soups & pizza
  • A daily variety of hot entrees
  • Desserts
  • An assortment of healthy selections
  • My Pantry

Meal Plans

If you plan to live in Frank Grisdale Hall (FGH), you need to be on one of the following Meal Plans.

New 2011 - 2012!

Continuous Dining Plan in FGH

How does it work? Students will access the Frank Grisdale Hall by presenting the meal card at the entrance. They may choose any food or beverage. They may return to the servery for more food choices as often as they wish. They may prepare their own meal or snack in the My Pantry area. The student may return to the FGH Cafeteria as many times throughout the day as they wish.

No food items may be removed from the dining room. However, at the cafeteria entrance retail food items such as bottled beverage, baked goods, and packaged food items can be purchased with flex dollars to take away.

2011 - 2012 Meal Plans

  • Plan 1 – 5 day continuous dining Sunday dinner to Friday lunch, within cafeteria hours  (Commuter plan)
  • Plan 2 – 7 day continuous dining daily within cafeteria hours

Note:  Meal entitlements apply in the the Land Science Center (LSC) kiosk.  For more information regarding meal entitlements see the listing below.  If you use a meal entitlement at LSC you will not be able to access food services until the next meal allotment period begins. If you wish to use your meal entitlement for lunch in Land Science, please come to the Housing Office to have your meal card set up.

Meal allotment periods are as follows:  Lunch:   10:51 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

If you are living in the Townhouses or off-campus you can also utilize food services. You can simply pay cash for your meals or purchase a meal plan. See the Residence Office for information on setting up a meal plan that suites your needs.

Grisdale MarketGrisdale Market

No matter how picky your tastes are, you can always find something scrumptious to eat in the main dining hall, Grisdale Market.

Grisdale Market is a large hall that can accommodates up to 300 people. We recently renovated Grisdale Market to enhance the dining atmosphere and to incorporate new equipment, allowing us to expand our menu.

A small cafeteria is located in the Land Sciences (LSC) and the Ralph Klein (RKC) for your convience. Also, a coffee and snack bar is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Duncan Marshall Place.

Meal Plan Entitlements in the Land Science Kiosks

Anyone wishing to use their meal plan entitlement in Land Science for lunch must see to Housing Office to have their meal card set up.

Lunch:
Soup, Salad, Entrée, Dessert, 2 Beverages.
