Tax Information for Students

Eligible students that were enrolled in post-secondary level studies in the applicable Tax year will be issued an Education Tax Receipt (T2202A) by the College.

Your Tax Receipt

The receipts are accessed electronically via your ‘My Olds College’ account and are usually available the last week of February. You can access the ‘log in’ page to view or print the receipt from my.oldscollege.ca.

In order to access the receipt online you will need

  • your student identification number
  • your PIN

Forgotten PIN / Inactive Account?

If your account is inactive or you forgot your ID Number/PIN you must contact the Library/Student Services department to obtain the information and re-activate your account.

In order to verify your identify before the information can be released you will be required to produce photo identification (in person) or  answer questions over the phone.

Please be aware of the following:

  •  It is your responsibility to check the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines or discuss your eligibility to claim Educational amounts or any other expenditures with your tax representative.
  • Olds College staff can not access your tax receipt , assist in setting your printer parameters or print off the official copy for you. It is your responsibility to ensure access to the receipt and a secure confidential area in which to print it.
  • Olds College does not provide any of the Canada Revenue Agency Forms.
  • Tax receipts are issued based on the part time or full time enrollment in post-secondary level studies within the applicable tax year (not when the fees were paid).
  • Non credit courses - those not at the post-secondary or undergraduate level are not eligible for a Education Tuition Tax Receipt (T2202A) (expenses associated with these courses can be claimed using the original receipt that was issued at the time of registration).
  • Tuition, education and textbook amounts must be claimed using the Canada Revenue Agency (Schedule 11) Form (it is your responsibility to ensure that you have all of the appropriate receipts in order to submit your personal Income Tax claim)
