The program will begin with two online courses which will be completed prior to arrival on campus. The first term will be offered from late October to early December. The second will be offered from early January until late February. The onsite portion of the program will be offered from early March until the end of June. All applicants to Olds College, whether you went to high school in Alberta, elsewhere in Canada or somewhere else in the world, are encouraged to submit an online application through the ApplyAlberta system.
The ApplyAlberta system will allow you to create a profile with your personal information and academic history. This information is filled in automatically on your application(s) to Alberta post-secondary institutions.
You will need the following:
A MyAlberta Digital ID. You will be prompted to create a MyAlberta Digital ID if you do not already have one. A MyAlberta Digital ID BASIC account is required to access ApplyAlberta. You do not need to create a MyAlberta Digital ID VERIFIED account to access ApplyAlberta.
Your Alberta Student Number (ASN). If you have applied to or attended a school or post-secondary institution in Alberta, you will already have an ASN. To find your ASN, you can use the ASN Lookup service. If you do not have an ASN because you went to high school in another province or country, the ApplyAlberta system will assign one to you.
Names of all high schools and post-secondary institutions you have attended or are currently attending.
High school courses and marks (for currently enrolled Canadian students only).
A credit card will be necessary to pay any application fees charged by the institution(s).

Olds College student athletes compete at the highest level in the provincial Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) and national Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) leagues. We have teams in men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, futsal, badminton, curling and women’s hockey. Olds College is also home to a well-recognized rodeo program. Our varsity rodeo athletes compete in the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (CIRA). The CLC Fitness Centre offers a diverse range of fitness and recreation programs, activities and services designed to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle! We welcome community, staff and students to come speak with our fitness staff so we can help you achieve your fitness goals!
Olds College provides direct services to support your overall health and well-being. This year more than ever we want to do what we can to help help keep you healthy we are the main point of contact for any students on campus who are required to self-isolate we also provide virtual and in-person health care services counseling supports and initiatives that will help you achieve that balanced lifestyle these initiatives include things like yoga, meditation, dog night, art night, financial literacy sessions and healthy lifestyles workshops.

Olds College offers over 400 awards, valued at over $450,000 in scholarships, bursaries and prizes. We are very grateful to our many award donors for their generous support of our students! There are three disbursements of student awards at Olds College:
- Fall Scholarships, Bursaries & Prizes: awarded in December
- Winter Scholarships, Bursaries & Prizes: awarded in March
- Graduation Scholarships, Bursaries & Prizes: distributed after final grades are tabulated
There are many options to help you fund your education. Our Financial Aid Officer on campus will be more than happy to assist you prepare student loan documentation, provide confirmation of enrolment to release RESP's or obtain private loans, and help you find funding.
Full Time Funding Government student loans are interest-free while you are in school, and you don't have to start paying back the loan until six months after your full-time enrolment ends. When you submit an application for a full-time government student loan, you will automatically be assessed for the grants and bursaries offered by the federal and provincial governments as part of the student loans program. | Part-Time Funding Government student loans are based on your assessed financial need. Qualified part-time students in Canada could get up to $10,000 in federal loans. In addition, part-time student grants are also available. Your eligibility for grants is assessed automatically when you apply and qualify for student financial assistance through your province or territory of residence. |
The Students' Association of Olds College plays an important role – they represent the student voice on campus by voicing your needs, issues and priorities to Olds College staff, faculty and executive.
