The CLC Fitness Centre is looking for energetic, motivated, and dynamic individuals, who want to work in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, and administrative skills. This position will report directly to the Community Learning Campus Manager of Fitness and Recreation. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Data entry, and general administration
  • Addressing clients questions, & concerns
  • Maintaining a clean and safe fitness facility
  • Checking equipment and reporting any repairs or maintenance
  • Performing assigned cleaning tasks and organizing fitness equipment
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Fitness Center, services, and schedules
  • Maintain operation of fitness centre (opening, closing operation)
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings and in service trainings
  • Process registrations and point of sale items and appropriate paperwork
  • Supports and exhibits the established organizational values of respect, communication, integrity, innovation, recognition, continuous learning, fun, empowerment and people
  • Maintain an understanding of all health and safety, and emergency protocols
  • Enforce Fitness Centre Rules and Regulations

The successful candidate must be returning to High School or a post-secondary diploma/degree program full-time in the 2020-2021 academic year.

The successful candidate must have current First Aid/CPR, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search. Related experience working in a fast paced environment will be considered an asset. The incumbent must be comfortable with engaging the public and posse the ability to work with minimal supervision. Individuals must be able to work early morning, evening and weekend shifts.
