A background of education and experience in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Accounting, Food Tourism, Wines & Spirits. A columnist and photographer for Vendor Liquor Industry Magazine for 5 years. Passionate about all facets of the travel and tourism industry. Currently teach Hospitality & Tourism Management courses at Olds College (8 years) following a lengthy tenure at RDC.

Diverse teaching, research & business background (~30 years) in horticulture, agriculture and now brewing, distilling & Cannabis production. Undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Horticulture plus graduate degree in the Environment (Air Pollution & Effects on Plant Ecosystems); Apprenticeships in separate areas of production & landscape horticulture. Associate Degree in Brewing Technology. Former business (several) owner.

Grew up on a mixed farm west of Camrose, agriculture has always been a part of my life.Graduate of the Agricultural Mechanics Program and work in industry to acquire Heavy Equipment Journeyman status. Have 30 years of post secondary experience in instruction and leadership roles.

Graduated from Olds College with a Diploma in Agricultural Mechanics, have Journeyman red seal status in both Heavy Equipment Mechanics as well as Agricultural Mechanics, my wife and I also own and operate a mixed grain/beef farm in central Alberta. I currently teach both Agricultural and Heavy Equipment Mechanics in both the apprenticeship as well as the Certificate/Diploma programs and have been doing so since 2012.

From a mixed beef/grain farm in the Olds Area. A graduate of Olds College in Ag and Heavy mechanics program. Began instructing in the same programs in 2011. From 2016 to present, have held the position of Associate Dean. Holds Journeyman tickets in On and Off Road Heavy Equipment Technician, as well as Ag Equipment Technician. Is very grateful for the time spent at Olds College to get back to the roots.

Originally from Calgary, Gerard studied Philosophy and Political Science at the U of C before deciding to join the Landscape Apprenticeship program at Olds College back in the eighties. Certified Arborist since 1992 and Master Arborist since 2007 with a long history of volunteering for industry organizations such as Landscape Alberta, Tree Canada and the Prairie Chapter of the ISA, Gerard remains passionate about trees. A life-long planter of trees and sower of seeds,teaching people who want to learn more about trees and landscape horticulture is one of his greatest rewards in life.

Laurie has been a Landscape Horticulturist and a Certified Arborist since 1992. He holds certificates in several arboriculture disciplines and has a degree in Landscape Management. Recognizing that this journey is not just about the Tenacious, Resilient, Enduring, Enchanting Systems we know as trees, he is grateful for the richness added to his life by his family.

"Technical Brewing & Distilling, Beverage Plant Planning & Construction, QA/QC, research, & sensory science. I earned my PhD from the University of Oklahoma. I also own a craft distillery (Burwood Distillery) in Calgary. I was recently selected as a Top 40 under 40 recipient in Avenue Magazine (Class of 2020) and featured on Dragons' Den in 2020."

Came from a mixed farm in southern Alberta. Have been directly involved with ag and Heavy equipment Tech over 20 years. Teach in both Ag and heavy equipment disciplines over 14 years. Have held many leadership roles internally and externally in support of the college,trades, and Agriculture. Current. Faculty representative on the OC board of Governors.

Grew up on a mixed farm in the Olds area. Graduated from Olds College Agricultural Production Program, then Agricultural Mechanics Diploma. Have Journeyman and Red Seal status as a Heavy Equipment Technician. Have run a 1000 acre export timothy hay farm, and ran a custom haying crew. Currently operate a grain farm with my cousin and have been teaching at Olds College since 1997
