Registration & Orientation Day

Welcome to Olds College! We are so glad you’re here. We’ve created this schedule to help you maximize your time, avoid long lineups and help you through your first day on your campus. 

Online Orientation 

This online Orientation will provide you with information about Services & Support on campus, Campus Housing information, as well as RESPECT training. This online orientation is required to be completed by all Olds College students before their program starts. It doesn’t take long and will provide you with a lot of very helpful information!

Heavy Equipment Operator - Monday, March 9, 2020

9:00 AM to 9:30 AM CHECK IN: Mandatory Check in at the Office of the Registrar and pick up your new student welcome bag! (Building 17)

9:30 AM to 10:15 AM CAMPUS TOUR: Meet at the Office of the Registrar for a Campus Tour (Building 17)

10:30 AM to 11:30 AM INFORMATION SESSIONS: Mandatory Information Sessions in LRC 827 (Building 15, at top of stairs immediately on your left)

10:30 AM to 11:30 AM INFORMATION SESSIONS: Mandatory Information Sessions in LRC 827 (Building 15, at top of stairs immediately on your left)

11:30 AM PROGRAM ORIENTATION: Mandatory Program Orientation in Bell 947/948 (Building 17)

  • Your Program Instructor will communicate your schedule details.
  • If you have free time throughout the day, please ensure to:
    • Pick up your ID Card from the Library (Building 15)
    • Pick up your parking pass and pay any outstanding fees at the Office of the Registrar (Building 17)

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break … return to class after lunch per your schedule.


Equine Reproduction Technician On-Campus Start - Monday, March 16, 2020

9:15 AM - 9:45 AM: Check in at the Office of the Registrar (Building 17, Bell e-Learning Centre), Pick up your Student Welcome Bag, Pay for your Parking Pass, and Pick up your Student ID card in the Learning Commons.

9:45 AM - 11:00 AM: Meet at the Office of the Registrar for a Campus Tour. We’ll stop at the Learning Commons (10:30 AM) and Student Health & Wellness (10:45) for brief presentations.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Program Welcome in ELC 953 (Building 17, Bell e-Learning Centre)

  • Your Associate Dean and Program Instructor will confirm your schedule details for the afternoon.
