  • Fibre Week
    Fibre Enthusiasts Gather! Our Fibre Week event in June has something for everyone. Check out our short workshops, fleece shows, merchant mall, evening activities, and our famed Master Spinner and Master Weaver programs.
  • Master Weaver
    The Master Weaver Program is consists of five progressive levels of classroom and independent study involving skill development, research studies and project assignments.
  • Master Spinner
    The Master Spinner Program consists of six levels of classroom and independent study involving skill development, research studies and project assignments in the area of hand spinning of all major types of fibres, yarns and the end use of the spun yarns.
  • Fleece Shows
    The shows are judged in a public format to provide an educational opportunity with a variety of animal fibres for Fibre Week registrants as well as the general public.

Ways to Contribute

Passion is the reason Fibre Week continues to grow more incredible every year.  From Sponsorship to Silent Auction donations, Instruction to Volunteering, Fibre Week depends on support from the incredibly passionate Fibre Arts community.  There are a number of ways you can contribute below.

Are you a musician (amateur or professional)?  Have some kind of other performance based penchant?  Would you like to come and perform for others in a casual but fun setting at the Olds Fibre Week vendor market or at one of our social events? We are seeking musicians/performers with any level of experience who play any instrument (and/or who sing) to come and perform at the Fibre Week. Individuals, groups, informal jam sessions, the sky is the limit and the choice is yours! If you would like to participate please contact the program coordinator at
