Fibre Week

Save The Date!

Fibre Week 2019 - July 5 - 11

Mark the calendar! The Fibre Week dates are moving!  Next year, Fibre Week 2019 is July 5 - 11.

We're really excited about new dates which move Fibre Week into July and hopefully make the event a bit more accessible for those who can only get time off July/August.  All of the same great Fibre Week experiences and services will be available: weekend classes, a merchant mall and fleece shows.  Social events, food and accommodation services right on campus, our great stores and shops, and a Calgary airport shuttle.  And if you want to get very serious, of course our Master Spinner and Master Weaver programs will be back.

Stay tuned to this page: more information will be available late December 2018 about the event's activities and classes.  March 2019 registrations will open!

Call for Workshop Proposals

Want to be an instructor at Fibre Week?  Have an amazing idea for a class and want to share your passion with the world?  We want to know what you have in mind.

We are looking for proposals for half-day (3 hour), full-day, 2 day, or 3 day workshops, for the Friday-Monday, July 5 - 8, 2019.

We welcome workshop proposals in all areas of the fibre arts, with a focus on spinning, weaving, felting, dyeing, and knitting.  Our participants tend to be at a beginner to intermediate level of their craft, though there is some room for advanced techniques in spinning and weaving.  We also welcome workshop proposals with a broader scope, as long as they are related to the fibre arts (examples include fleece workshops and/or workshops to assist fibre arts business owners)
