What can you expect from this event?

There is something for everyone at Hort Week, taking place July 22-25, 2019. Whether you're a beginner gardener or an experienced professional. Enjoy the company of fellow horticultural enthusiasts, participate in workshops, enjoy new courses, and relax in the gardens. Come for a day or stay the week and take in the whole experience!

Help, Advice & Tips on growing trees and shrubs (Two-Part Workshop)

Trees and shrubs are an important element of your yard. Whether you have inherited mature trees and shrubs, or plan on adding new trees or shrubs. This workshop will give you the help and guidance you need to get the most out of incorporating trees and shrubs into your yard. This two part workshop will cover the common challenges for home owners of knowing what will grow and thrive in their garden. Let the experts guide you on maintenance techniques and planting expertise to give you the maximum success.

Beauty on a Budget - Do you have a future plan for your garden?

This workshop will help you to create your garden plan and learn how a phased in plan can help you to save money! There will be a hands-on component where you will work on designing your own garden plan. And what about plant choices?  We will discuss the best plant choices for your landscape and garden, including food crop choices. It’s all about choosing the right plant for the right place.

CLC Nature Week Camp |  Ages 6-11 | July 22-26, 2019 (8:30am – 5:30pm)

$145/child for the week, or $40/day

While you’re learning new and exciting things at Hort Week, send your kids on an action-packed nature adventure!  The Community Learning Campus is running camps to connect children with the natural world through hands-on activities and outdoor play. Guided by experience educators, campers will explore bugs, plants, animals, nature trails and map reading while gaining a better understanding of nature and their place within it. Note – camp is for the entire week, but there are a few spots for individual days available ($45/day).  Registration with CLC is required to reserve your child’s spot.
