Environmental Stewardship & Rural Planning Major

"The Rural Land-use Planning major taught me about all the different planning legislation, processes and language used in a rural municipality context. We were able to take field trips to see some of the planning committee meetings and to hear real planning issues being discussed. I felt that this type of learning environment was very successful in ensuring everyone was contributing and understanding the material. My education allowed me to obtain employment in the Agricultural Services department of a rural municipality. The proximity of the College to the resources of the city, surrounding municipalities and landscape ensures that there is a variety of real-life opportunities for instructors to utilize in there instruction and assignments.”

Kendra Tippe, Rural Land Planning Graduate
