Frequently Asked Questions

What furniture/supplies will my room have?

Each Centennial Village room will have a double bed, mattress, mattress cover, night stand, desk, chair, closet shelving system as well as a vanity cabinet in the washroom. If you are staying in the College Courts townhouses, the beds are double beds and the units are fully furnished. Supply amenities requirements including linens can be arranged with your conference coordinator. Please let us know how we can accommodate your needs!

My conference guests are having card issues, need to stay an extra night, or their Internet isn't working. Who should I contact for these issues?

For any issues related to conference guests, please contact the coordinator working with your group. The coordinator will help find solutions for any and all issues that come up during your group’s stay. In addition, conference guests can always approach the front desk with card or building access issues.

How can my group reserve lounge and conference room space?

Please express any space requests desired for the length of your stay and the coordinator will work with you to reserve spaces adequate for your needs.

Can I have a catered event in one of the conference rooms?

Yes, there are a number of catering options with menus designed to fit your specific needs including any dietary restrictions.

Is there wireless internet in the residence halls, and how does my group access it?

Yes, there is wireless internet throughout the building. You’ll be given information on how to access the internet upon check-in.

Are conference groups allowed access to the athletic facilities?

Yes, all conference guests may use the fitness facilities. Any guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult group representative.

Can you sign in guests to the dorms? How many days can they stay?

Overnight guests are not permitted in the residence. Guests are permitted from 8am-10pm. All guests must leave by 10 pm.

Can conference participants get an early check-in?

If requested by the conference group, the summer conference program will try to accommodate your early arrival request. Due to space and time constraints, however, we are not always able to guarantee an early arrival.

What time can you check in/check out?

Typically check in is 3pm and check out is 10am, but can be adjusted to the needs of your program. Please let the summer conference program know of these adjustments at least two weeks prior to arrival.

How do you pick up your keys?

At check in, all conference participants will receive a key or card. Centennial Village is a keyless building.

How much does parking cost on campus?

Parking spaces for purchase are subject to availability. For more information, please contact the conference program when submitting your contract.

Are there any other hospitals/urgent care facilities nearby?

Yes, the Olds Hospital and Care Centre is the closest facility to the Olds College campus. Further details can be found online.
