Clausen Dons Red and Gold as Winter Games Experience Crew

Lindsay ClausenOlds College Alumni Officer Lindsay Clausen has taken a role as Spectator Experience Crew at the games. Anyone who knows Lindsay can see her in this role, her upbeat personality makes her a perfect fit to act as one of the “cheerleaders” of the games.

“My first shift was at the beautiful Collicutt Centre in Red Deer, for ringette,” she states, with a smile on her face. “It was the first time I had ever seen ringette and I couldn’t believe how fast paced that sport is. Those girls were flying on the ice, and the stands were filled with flag waving, drum beating spectators cheering their athletes on so I just soaked all the energy in. It was phenomenal!”

Lindsay also took volunteered as part of the Freestyle Skiing events, held at WinSport in Calgary. Here, her responsibilities included being a part of organizing the Medal Presentation.

Of her Winter Games experience, Lindsay’s personal highlights include meeting so many new people, from across the country, seeing what the athletes can accomplish, and being a part of the 3000 volunteer team that was needed to make the Winter Games a success.
