Library Services for Olds College Distance Education and eCampus Alberta Students

On behalf of the Olds College Library, welcome to Distance Learning.  As a student of our college you have many services available through our library webpage.

  • You can search our catalogue and request books be sent out to you.  Canadian students have access to not only the 45,000 plus items available in our own library, but also to the collections of all the libraries who are members of the NEOS library consortium, a group of academic, research, and government libraries in Alberta, increasing your collection to over 4 million items.  Should you request to borrow books from any of our libraries, please drop us an email letting us know what you have requested and confirm your mailing address.  We’ll make sure they are sent out to you via Priority Post.
  • On our homepage you can also use our One Stop Search to find books, but also to search our e-journals and the article databases for the latest information on your topic.  Here you have access to the full text of thousands of articles in your area of study.
  • To access the articles, you will be asked to confirm your status as a student by entering your thirteen digit library ID number and your password which is a 4-digit PIN (sent to you by email at the beginning of the school year). If this doesn't work; you will need to call us and ask us to look up/change your PIN.

You will note on our web pages we have a Live Chat service, which is your direct connection to a librarian should you have a question.  Or you can call us at 1-800-661-6537 and ask for the Library or 403-507-7777.

See our How-to Guides for help on how to use the library tools and resources.

Your library is open extended hours to serve you.
