Students Place 2nd in Dean’s Business Case Competition

Deans Business CaseCongratulations to the Olds College team who competed at the Alberta Deans Business Case Competition in NAIT this past weekend. The team finished second place among fourteen teams competing on behalf of post-secondary institutions from across the province.

The competition included evaluating a business case study and giving a presentation on how the business can overcome challenges and strategically plan for success in the future.

The team included Destiny Burnside (Ag Management), Mae Cary (Business Management), Brittany Rath (Business Management), Graham Harper (Business Management), and Owen Smigelski (Ag Management), and faculty advisor Dr. Kim Kennedy. A special thanks to Marnie Desjardins for all of her behind the scenes work and support for the team, and to Dr. Barb Mullholland for attending the competition and showing support to the students.
