Farm Credit Canada (FCC) Joins AgSmart as Presenting Partner for 2020Olds College and Agri-Trade are pleased to announce that FCC’s AgExpert has signed on as the presenting partner of the must-see agriculture educational event for farmers, AgSmart. Taking place August 11 & 12, 2020 at Olds College, the event will provide farmers with practical technology that can be used today, and a look at the future of farming with a showcase of emerging technologies.

“Olds College is delighted to welcome FCC’s AgExpert as the presenting partner of AgSmart,” comments Patrick Machacek, Vice President, Development & Strategy, Olds College. “Innovative and forward-thinking, FCC was one of the first partners to support the Olds College Smart Farm. Through our shared vision of advancing the agriculture sector, we are working to support producers implementing technology in ag.”

After a successful launch in 2019, AgSmart is evolving for an enhanced experience with new programming, a single in-field event location with a revamped layout, and one ticket type.

“FCC AgExpert is thrilled to build on our Olds College partnership as a presenting sponsor of AgSmart. The inaugural event was impressive in 2019 and we look forward to being a bigger part of the educational expo this year,” says Fred Wall, FCC Marketing Vice President. “AgSmart helps producers discover how technology and data management can maximize the potential of their operations and that’s something FCC AgExpert wants for everyone. We value ag tech and encourage producers to see for themselves what the future of agriculture in Canada looks like by attending AgSmart.”

AgSmart ticket sales will be launched on March 11, 2020. Tickets start at just $60 plus taxes and fees, visit AgSmartOlds.ca for more information.

About AgSmart: AgSmart is an educational event focused on data and technology across the agriculture sector – how to gather it, how to use it, how it benefits the producer – identifying why it makes sense to invest in equipment and technology to capture data and how to implement the data to increase productivity and profitability for farm operations.

During this two-day expo at Olds College, farmers have an opportunity to interact with cutting-edge high-tech Ag players and experience the latest innovations first-hand. The show will feature education workshops, in-field demonstrations and an exhibit fair profiling some of the latest commercialized products that are transforming the Ag industry here in Alberta and throughout the globe.
