CWB Weld Testing
Olds College is an authorized test centre for the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). Welders who are not employed by a company certified to CSA W47.1 and are not a member of a union providing testing facilities, are eligible for testing.
Dates: Every Monday, September - April
Length of Program: Times vary depending on testing required
Delivery Method: Olds Campus
Credentials: Upon successful completion of the test, you will be given a letter by the Canadian Welding Bureau representative certifying CSA W47.1 standards.
Applications Deadline: Call for details. Register early, the testing spots fill fast.

Student Discount Rate: Student must be enrolled at Olds College in the Apprenticeship Program at the time of the testing to receive discount.

Admission Requirements: Welders who are not employed by a company certified to CSA W47.1 and are not a member of a union providing testing facilities.
Note: CWB employees (testers), and the welding student must come prepared with CSA-approved safety boots, safety glasses and welding gloves. Individuals will not be permitted in the shop until meeting this safety requirement.
