Program Preview Days - February - April, 2018

Each day includes a guided campus tour, complimentary lunch & parking, program information sessions with staff and faculty and the opportunity to hear from current students. These informative campus visits typically run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Campus Tours 

Guided campus tours are available each week to showcase facilities, provide program information and answer your questions.

2017 - 2018 Tours: If you would like to come for a tour of the Olds College campus, we are offering guided tours Monday to Friday. To register for a student tour at our main campus, call 403.507.7715 or email mdeitzer@oldscollege.ca. Group Tours

Book your school or class for a visit customized to your groups needs. Visit opportunities are available Monday to Friday between 8:30 am - 3:00 pm and each tour typically lasts about an hour and a half with staff available to answer any questions you may have. The day may also include a presentation about Olds College, a Scavenger Hunt with prizes, etc, so contact us to arrange your visit today!

Green Certificate Trainee Events

Are you a Green Certificate trainee interested in a program offered at Olds College? We offer two unique events designed to give you additional information about the College through a guided campus tour and program session, while learning from our instructors and gaining skills for your Green Certificate program.

Equine Reproduction Workshop

March 21st, 2018 from 9:30am - 4:00pm. 

Registration will open on March 1st at 9am. Registration numbers will be limited so please register promptly. You will have campus visit and presentation designed to help you explore educational opportunities and gain experience needed for your Equine Green Certificate program.

Dr. Marion Anderson, Chair of the Equine Science program, will be presenting “Describe and Understand the Reproductive Cycle”, "Distinguish Between Features of a Horse's Reproductive Cycle", “Understanding Different Breeding Technologies" and "Compare Breeding Methods".

Young Farm Worker Safety Training Workshop

April 30th, 2018 from 8:30 am - 4:00pm. 

Safety Training Workshop that can qualify you for 1 High School Credit for AGR2950.

We cover a variety of farm safety topics that could include THINK IT THRU, Hazard Assessment, Livestock Safety, Bin Safety, Confined Spaces, Grain Entrapment, Machinery Safety, Power Line Safety, Equine First Aid, Fire Safety, Crop Production Safety, Fire Extinguisher Safety Training, etc. You will also have a recruitment presentation to explore educational opportunities at Olds College.
