
Lexar Digital Memory Card Reader
This memory card reader is located at computer number 27.
Step 1. Accessing
- Logon to computer number 27.
- Double click on My Computer
- The digital camera memory card reader uses one of the following drive letters:
- Removable Drive Y: Kodak DC 210 digital cameras (compact flash)
- Removable Drive Z: Olympus 210 & 730 digital cameras (Smart media and xD)
Reading the Compact flash digital memory card.
- To read the compact flash memory cards you will need the PC adaptor.

- Insert the compact flash memory into the adaptor, and then insert the adaptor into the upper slot, label side up of the card reader.
Reading the Smart media digital memory cards.
- Insert the Smart media card into the lower slot, label side up.
Reading the xD digital memory card.
- To read the xD memory cards you will need the xD memory card adaptor.

- The adaptor fits into the same slot as the smart media card does.
Step 2. Finding the folder you need
Here are the folder sequence for:
Compact Flash: DCIMAGES
Smart media & xD: DCIM\100OLYMP
- Double click on the subfolder(s) until you get a list of files.
- Click on View, then Thumbnails to get small images of each image.
Step 3. Transferring image files from the memory card.
- Highlight the files or folder you want to copy
- Click on Edit from the menu
- Click on Copy
- Find the drive H: (your home folder) or E: to burn to a CD (Making a CD How-to file)
- Click on Edit
- Click on Paste
