
Library Cards
Students
- Your student ID card is your library card. You MUST have your id card with you to borrow items from the Library or to have your computing passwords reset.
- The first time you borrow an item from the Olds College Library, you will need to fill out a registration card. Once registered with the Olds College Library, you can use your student ID card to borrow items in person or online from any library which is a member of the NEOS Consortium.
- Ask Library staff for a TAL card. You can use this card to borrow materials at the local public library as well as any library which is a member of the TAL Member Libraies .
Staff / Faculty
- To obtain a library card, you need to register at the Library. You can leave your card with Library staff or keep it but you must be able to present a card in order to borrow items from the Library.
- You can use your library card to borrow items in person or online from any library which is a member of the NEOS Consortium.
- Ask Library staff for a TAL card, which gives you borrowing privileges at the local public library as well as any library which is a member of the TAL Member Libraries .
- Your library card also has your library id number on it. You will need this number if you want to search the online databases from off-campus.
Community / Alumni
- If you are a member of your local public library, you can request a free TAL card from that library and use it to borrow from Olds College Library.
- If you are not a member of your local public library, you can purchase a Community Borrower Card from Olds College Library for $15.00 per year. This card can only be used at Olds College Library.
