PIN: Personal Identification Number for staff

To reset passwords, you will need to visit the library in person

While at Olds College you will be required to keep track of a number of computer user id's and passwords (PINs). Different user id's and passwords give you access to different programs or networks.

Computer Access

To sign on to a computer:

  • Username: first initial, last name
  • Password: IT provides you with your initial password

If your computer account is disabled, ask Library, or IT staff to reset your password. Sign on to a computer before leaving to verify that the new password works.

Outlook Access

To sign on to a Outlook Account:

  • The username and password are not required when you login to a computer on campus.
  • For off Campus access the login information is the same as you computer login. External access is at:
    https://webmail.oldscollege.ca/

Library Account Web Access

To sign on to a Library Account:

You need to be registered with the Library before this will work.

  • Username: You need the full Olds College Library barcode (located on your Library card).
  • Password: The password is set to the last 4 digits of your office phone number.

If your computer account is disabled, ask Library staff to reset your password.

External Library Database and Journal Access

To be able to access Library Databases and E-journals from outside the campus:

  • Username: First initial, last name
  • Password: The last 5 digits of your Library barcode.
