From field to fork, Olds College has always held a crucial role in training our future food producers. In today's world, that does not only mean the individuals who grow our food, but also those who process it and serve it. Our Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management and Meat Processing programs train professionals in taking raw ingredients and creating food products in two growing industries, and our Hospitality and Tourism Management program helps young professionals develop the skills to work in a variety of careers throughout the service industry, including food service, the tourism industry, and more.

Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management Diploma
The Brewmaster and Brewery Operations program targets a diverse range of enthusiasts and professionals who see this as a valuable career opportunity in a vibrant and continually growing industry.
Learn the art, science and the business of brewing in our 2,300 square foot teaching brewery from staff with extensive experience in the brewery business. Our Brewery Retail Store adjacent to the teaching brewery will provide you with the opportunity to connect with prospective customers.
Students will receive a solid grounding in technical, analytical, business and marketing skills developed under the direction of the Canadian Food and Wine Institute (CFWI).

Hospitality and Tourism Management Diploma
The skills you acquire in the Hospitality and Tourism Management program will prepare you with a solid management focused education allowing you to be employable in many businesses around the world. This new unique 15 month accelerated diploma program requires students to complete work experience components along with an applied management residency.
By leveraging our relationships with industry associations, professional organizations, and tourism operators, students will experience a diverse range of facilities and services focusing on real-life learning. From leisure, tourism, sporting events, and recreation operations, to mixology, culinary theory and everything in between, students will be immersed in applied learning.
With a true entrepreneurial spirit and learner-driven attitude, Hospitality and Tourism Management students are positioned to thrive in the global business environment.

Meat Processing Certificate
The Olds College Meat Processing certificate is unique in North America as it packs the whole process stream, from slaughter to retail, into one program. The program focuses on teaching hands-on practical techniques and science for the highest premium quality cuts.
