Olds College Smart Farm deploys numerous weather stations for farm management decisions, research, and demonstration purposes. A comparison of different weather station suites and software platforms provides an unbiased assessment of requirements, capabilities, and functionalities of each weather station platform so the general public understands capabilities of individual stations for their own needs. The platforms evaluated include: FieldClimate (Pessl Metos), Farm Command (Farmers Edge), Decision Farm (Weather INnovations), Arable, RealmFive, EOS, and ACIS (Alberta Climate Information Service).
