Store Hours
Monday - Friday 12 - 5 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m - 4 p.m.
2023 Holiday Hours: We are closed April 7-10 and April 30 - May 3
Please note: We are closed all statutory holidays.
Products and Services
We offer one of the largest selections of fresh meat cuts in central Alberta. All of our products are locally sourced, and humanely slaughtered in our state-of-the-art facility. All processing is done in our facility by current Meat Processing Certificate students as part of their hands-on learning.

Sourced From: Marshall Farms in Bowden, AB
Availability: Weekly(while supplies lasts)
Products: Large variety of unique steaks, ribs, and roasts.
Chicken
Sourced From: Mountain View Colony in Beiseker, AB (Slaughtered on site)
Availability: Periodically
Products: Whole chickens, wings, thighs, and drumsticks
Lamb
Availability: Once a semester
Pork
Sourced From: Broekman Hog Farm in Olds, AB
Availability: Weekly (while supplies lasts)
Products: Chops, roast, ribs, bacon, ham and tenderloin
Value Added Products
Value Added Products are key to an emerging business. It is important that our students understand how to create products that will help them to increase profits for their business after they graduate.Including:

- Pepperoni Sticks
Fresh Meat Fridays
Most Fridays during the semester, our merchandising students create a full-service counter, including a variety of top products such as cushions, pinwheels, pastries and more – prepared ready to hit your grill or oven. Not sure how to cook these products? Ask our expert staff and students for tips!
Meat Processing Certificate Program
The Olds College Retail Meat Store sells products created by the students of our renowned Meat Processing Certificate program. Unique to North America, this program teaches students the entire meat process from slaughter to retail.
With three intakes of our 15 week program every year, and expert staff on hand, our store is open year round, providing locally raised meat and value added products that are delicious and affordable.
Supporting the Community
We are proud to work together with the Mountain View Food Bank to address the growing number of area residents accessing the food bank each month. Our staff and students offer free butchering and processing of cows that have been donated to the Food Bank. The cost of wrapping & labeling are covered by donations made to the Food Bank.
