Desmond Bouteiller MS, BA, ChPC

Desmond Bouteiller is an Instructor in Sport Management at Olds College of Agriculture & Technology. He holds a Master of Science in Sport Management from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University. He is currently completing his PhD in Sport Management at Troy University, with research interests in coach education, leadership, and coach development within the Canadian sport system.

Beyond the classroom, Desmond is a Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC) and an experienced baseball coach and coach developer. He serves as a Learning Facilitator with Baseball Canada, Baseball Alberta, the Coaching Association of Canada, and Sport for Life. His experience spans grassroots, provincial, and national-level sport, allowing him to bring practical sport industry and coaching experiences directly into his teaching.

Desmond’s teaching focuses on sport management, leadership, coaching, professional communication, and preparing students to apply what they learn through practical, industry-connected experiences.
