Firefighters' National Memorial Day

The second Sunday in September of each year is designated in memory of firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty. Canadian flags on all Government of Canada buildings and establishments across the country will be flown at half-mast as a tribute to the firefighters who risk their lives to keep Canadians safe.

Firefighters’ National Memorial Day will commemorate their courage, their selflessness and their unwavering commitment to serving our communities.

Lowering the Flags

Flags may be lowered for National, Provincial or International incidents or deaths that have a direct connection to the College, and for national days of remembrance.
