The Olds College flag is flying at half-mast on Feb. 21, 2025 to honour Henry Heuver who passed away on Feb. 13. Henry received an Olds College Honourary Degree in 1998, was named Olds College Partner of the Year in 2003, and was a true friend and major influence on Olds College.
Henry Heuver, owner of Foothills Landscaping in Calgary, had a combined passion for mentoring and horticulture to create permanent enhancements to Olds College programming. Henry played a major role in the Olds College Botanic Gardens and was committed to expanding teaching opportunities wherever possible — both to benefit students and to maintain a healthy agri-horticultural industry in Alberta.
Henry’s interest in strengthening relationships and his interest in plant biodiversity were an extension of who he was. His gift of time, knowledge and resources throughout his lifetime makes us proud to call him a close friend. Henry was a proud supporter of Olds College and its programs.
