Welcome to the new school year!

Olds College welcomes all our students, new and returning, to campus for the 2025-26 year! To celebrate and officially kick off the school year, the Week of Welcome will host several social events, information sessions and opportunities for you to get to know Olds College staff and faculty.

September 2, 2025

Guided Campus Tours

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Outside of the Alumni Centre

Get the ins and outs of campus on a guided tour with our recruitment team. Offered hourly.

Get to Know Your Community

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Alumni Centre

Connect with on-campus departments, student services, and local businesses and organizations that are available to support you at the Get to Know Your Community Vendor Fair. Discover what's available and build connections on campus and in the community.

SAOC Welcome to the Herd BBQ

12 – 2 p.m. | Outside of the Alumni Centre

Enjoy a free BBQ lunch provided by the SAOC – simply pick up your stamp card and visit the Community Booths inside the Alumni Centre to qualify.

The Crossing’s Big First Day

8 p.m. – 1 a.m. | The Crossing (Learning Resource Centre)

Celebrate your first day in style at The Crossings! Enjoy live music, great vibes, food and drink specials, and free SAOC merch. Open to all students.

International Students Events

A number of events for our international students will be held during the Week of Welcome. For more information, view the international student events calendar.

Online Orientation

Note: All returning students who are not beginning a new program should follow their schedules and attend classes as usual.

  • This required online orientation provides you with information about services & support on campus, campus housing information, and RESPECT training. All Olds College of Agriculture & Technology students must complete this orientation before their program starts. It doesn’t take long and will provide you with a lot of very helpful information! 

  • Start the International Student Orientation Course before your arrival in Canada, then some modules will be completed after your arrival. If you have any questions, contact International Services.
