Prairie Precision Sustainability Network Field Day

The Prairie Precision Sustainability Network Field Day will feature expert presentations on precision agriculture and marginal land use, as well as the opportunity to go into the field and see some of the research projects in progress at the Olds College Smart Farm.

Prairie Precision Sustainability Network Field Day agenda

8:30-9:00: Arrival, check-in and coffee networking

9:00-11:30: Morning classroom sessions

• What is marginal land? How can we better manage those acres?
• Integrating Livestock into Marginal Land Management with Technology.
• Forage conversion within cropland - Olds College Experience

• This will be a short, participatory discussion inviting attendees to share their experiences with digital agriculture tools and how these tools fit into farm-level decision-making and broader landscape sustainability. 

12:45: Afternoon bus tour of field research sites

3:45: Arrive back at Olds College

4:00: End of PPSN Field Day
