The College is joined by 42 other members of the Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) that are collectively sponsoring over 150 Ukrainian students coming to Canada to study and flee violence in Ukraine.
“The decision to consider sponsoring a Ukrainian student was made earlier this spring," comments Peter Mal, Associate Vice President, Students and Registrar, Olds College. “Olds College is actively working with national and provincial agencies to get the word out.”
Sponsorship from the College will provide two Ukrainian nationals between the 18 and 29 years old with full-time enrollment into a program of their choice, a room at the on-campus residence, meal plan, books, as well as waive the application and tuition fees for 2022-2023 academic year.
Applications opened June 1, 2022 and will remain open till August 1, 2022.
