Introducing New Board Members with the Fall Term Start

September 21, 2023

As we embark on the Fall 2023 term at Olds College of Agriculture & Technology, we extend a warm welcome to not only new students joining our campus community but also esteemed individuals who have joined as new members of our Board of Governors.

Celia and Mackenzie, SAOC Representatives

Among the fresh faces on the board, we proudly introduce Celia Sutton and Mackenzie Rendall, student representatives from the Students' Association of Olds College (SAOC). Their one-year appointment, effective May 8, 2023, demonstrates their dedication to serving our college community.

Celia Sutton, elected as SAOC President in April 2022 and re-elected in spring 2023, brings a wealth of experience. Sutton currently holds the positions of SAOC Board Chair and Board Chair of the Alberta Students' Executive Council (ASEC). Graduating with distinction from Olds College's Horticulture Technologist Diploma program in June 2023, Sutton is now pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Horticulture.

“It's exciting to play a part in discussions about what's best for our college community and to drive positive change for our institution,” comments Sutton.

Mackenzie Rendall, serving as SAOC Vice President of Academics since April 2023, has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to her role. Rendall, formerly a member of the Student Board of Directors, is currently in her second year, pursuing a major in Land and Water Resources, Environmental Stewardship, and Rural Planning at Olds College.

Join us in welcoming our new Board members as they bring fresh perspectives and insights to propel our institution forward.
